About the ForJodie Project

Jodie Chesney, an active member of the 4th Barking and Dagenham Scouts, achieved notable awards as a Cub, Scout, and Explorer. Tragically, she was a victim of a fatal knife attack in 2019. In her memory, the ForJodie project was created and aims to equip communities with emergency aid training and place bleed control kits strategically to prevent similar incidents. Jodie's enthusiastic and inspiring nature left a lasting impact on her Scout unit, where she accomplished much during her time in Scouting.

This free course looks at the basic first aid required to treat a knife crime injury at the scene. With simple first aid techniques and fast activation of the emergency services, lives can be saved.

First aid is not difficult and very easy to learn and remember. The course covers keeping yourself safe to different first aid subjects to give you a basic understanding of how to save a life.

The course is broken down into short videos and once you complete the course you can download your free certificate. To support the training you will be able to download a student manual that covers many different first aid subjects and other downloads and links to support your training.
